Horror Prompts’ Gillian Church has created 28 single-word prompts and challenged writers to write a horror drabble for each. A drabble is a story of exactly 100 words, no more, no less (not counting the title).

I wish I’d never been to that fuckin’ forest! Ate that fuckin’ ‘shroom!
Fuckin’ Jonesy and his bright ideas!
Mark went last night; he tried to pass it on, but it didn’t take.
Jonesy’ll probably be okay; he’s got Ellen an’ she’s bound’t put out!
I can feel it eatin’ away at me; my fuckin’ eyes were bleedin’ this mornin’!
I gotta pass it on… there’s gotta be someone!
That chick two floors down,… she’s always had a thing for me.
Luckily, it’s Valentine’s Day so she won’t ask questions but I have to hurry! I’ve wasted too much time.
