February Drabble Challenge: Choking

Horror PromptsGillian Church has created 28 single-word prompts and challenged writers to write a horror drabble for each. A drabble is a story of exactly 100 words, no more, no less (not counting the title).

Choking

The Submission:
They were such a nice couple; they were always so polite, and I didn’t think twice of popping over to ask to borrow a tin opener.

George kept saying he’d fix ours, but it finally bit the dust and I needed it for my recipes.

They invited me in, even treated me to a cup of tea and a digestive; but when I saw the time and had to excuse myself, he leapt on me with such ferocity!

I had no hope of fighting back. I choked beneath his grip as she cackled behind him, and the world turned to–
