Horror Prompts’ Gillian Church has created 28 single-word prompts and challenged writers to write a horror drabble for each. A drabble is a story of exactly 100 words, no more, no less (not counting the title).
Can you do it?
When Peter told me what that little shit Brody had done, my blood boiled. He’s a sweet, kind-hearted little boy who enjoys his drawing and doesn’t have a bad bone in his body so for that little shit to pick on him just because he’s a little small for his age…!
I knew Brody liked to play down by the old bridge. I wasn’t thinking; I just went there.
When Brody came along, picking his nose, a simple call and the allure of the balloon drew him closer.
He didn’t see the knife until it was stuck in his throat.
What did you think to the prompt for this week’s drabble challenge? Did you submit anything for it? Have you ever written any flash fiction before? I’d love to know what you think to my snippets and writing prompts, so feel free to sign up and let me know what you think below or leave a comment on my Instagram page.
