Sally’s been bangin’ on about getting’ a scooter for her birthday since Christmas. Seven goddamn months of whinin’! It was enough t’drive a man t’drink…or worse. How could I tell her that I couldn’t afford the damn thing? Fuckin’ redundancies; it was all I could do just t’keep a roof over our heads an’ she’s crowin’ about a scooter!
